In-Home Care

Many persons afflicted with dementia prefer to live at home with the assistance of professional caregivers. As part of our services, we…
  • Oversee and direct care provided at home, including cognition-stimulating meals, medications, exercise and mental stimulation
  • Coordinate efforts of key support systems and services
  • Assess and care for aggressive or combative behavior. Offered through our South Bay Memory Care Clinic.
  • Manage care for loved ones when families are out of town
  • Accompany to appointments
  • Provide personal care
  • Include activities as part of our  program
  • Communicate with family members
Our caregivers are employees – not contractors.

Many seniors have muttered the phrase, “I just want to stay in my own house.”  For families, balancing wishes, practicalities, and responsible choices can become conflicting. However, for some,  in-home care can be a good option when issues like staying in routines and habits developed over decades, deferring difficult decisions about liquidating real estate assets, and literally enjoying the comforts of home are important.

Family Connect Care personally employs all caregivers to ensure that our services and credentials of those providing them,  meet our strict standards: Our staff goes through an extensive selection process; they are dementia certified, CPR certified, and registered with the California Home Care Aid registry; they go through the Live-scan background check and are TB and drug tested. Just as importantly, we know our caregivers intimately to ensure that as much care as possible is taken when matching families to caregivers. We believe that this special care and ensuring compatible personalities contribute to great success for everyone!

Matching caregivers with families is an important process, so that caregiver personalities mesh with those of the patient. We stay involved with all placements until the right matches are made.

Innovation

At Family Connect Care, we are constantly striving to learn more and expand in our research so that we can better provide for our clients. This desire has led us to incorporate some wonderful new programs. PIXIE is a testing and monitoring system for urinary tract infections in adults. With a simple pad and a smart phone app, we are able to keep our clients healthy and informed. Another method of keeping your loved ones healthy and informed is with our GPS Call-In Program. By setting up a simple appointment or series of appointments, you can have the knowledge and expertise of our trained staff from the comfort of your own home.
